Please consider the following when submitting artwork

SOFTWARE

Colorchrome uses Adobe Creative Cloud software, PC or MAC. Illustrator and Photoshop are preferred.

Please always provide:

  • Native files with fonts and
  • High-res PDF exports of the

The “Packaging” feature within Illustrator is highly recommended. For all other software, embed linked images or supply them separately. Convert all fonts to outlines or supply the font.

 

FILE TYPES & SUPPORT FILES
  • AI & PDF files packaged with supporting links &
  • EPS files with embedded links and outlined
  • PSD with font layers
  • TIFF & JPG at 200dpi (100 minimum) with quality saved at 10 or If layers are enabled in TIFF files, please rasterize any fonts.
  • INDD files are not recommended for large format printing but if they must be used, please package them with supporting links & Please include a high-res, print-ready PDF.
FILE DIMENSIONS & SCALING

Please submit artwork at 100% size. If you are unable to do that, please scale it down to 50%, 25%, or 10% and indicate to what scale the artwork has been sized.

COLOR

When color matching is required, please follow these guidelines:

  • If PMS color matching is required, please use Pantone Solid Coated swatches in your Do not modify the name of the PMS swatch – this will result in the color being output as a CMYK value.
  • RGB & CMYK artwork will be produced “as is”, in coordination with the color profiling and color balance applied to our printers.
FONTS

All fonts must be outlined when submitting artwork. If not outlined, please submit the font itself.

BLEED

A minimum of 1/4” bleed is recommended on all sides of most projects.

For specific projects:

  • Wallpaper/wallcoverings should include 2” of bleed on the
  • Items being die-cut should include a minimum of 1/4” bleed around the image, so that the shape isn’t cut exactly on the edge of the
  • Banners & fabrics with pole pockets: please speak to your Account Manager regarding the diameter of the pole being used so (s)he can advise on bleed
DIE-CUT ARTWORK

For items being die-cut (aka profile cut, cut-to-shape, etc.), please provide the file with a die-line path in the artwork on a separate layer.

These paths MUST be provided in a vector format (AI, PDF, EPS) and CANNOT be utilized in a raster (JPG, TIF, PNG) format.

TRIM MARKS

Please do not include trim marks, registration marks, slug, or any other non-relevant marks or data.

WHITE INK

When possible, please indicate all areas that will receive white ink.

  • In Illustrator, place white ink data on a separate layer.
  • In Photoshop, place white ink data on a separate layer or in a separate
